 FRIDAY 6th OCTOBER

The Anchor Complex Portstewart

“We Love To Party” on a Friday…………

This Friday The Anchor are giving away a minibus full of tickets to see Steps and The Vengaboys at the SSE Arena in November. Many of those attending over the last few weeks are already in the draw and will be notified this week but all those who arrive on Friday night will also be given Draw Vouchers so it’s anybody’s guess who will be partying with the groups in a few weeks time. DJs around the country will confirm that slipping on a tune by the Vengaboys is a sure way to a full dance floor and the instant infectious Europop beat is a favourite across so many age groups. “It’s completely feel-good music” says BRIAN MOORE who will be behind the decks on Friday night, “and with the incredible mix of people we get on a Friday night it’s always a winner”. Admission on Friday night is absolutely free and with the brilliant WAYNE & THE ALL-STARS playing next door in the bar Friday at the Anchor is Party Central!

A spokesperson for the organising committee told us, “We’ve been delighted by the response and can promise a packed evening of fun and fashion. We’re delighted to have on board the relatively new Daisy Mae Boutique and Stable Lane Boutique as well as established Coleraine stores Fashion Flair and Isabella Lingerie. Adding a quirky angle to the show will be displays by McToal Hats, online store Captain Tortue and Dough Equestrian”. Local party DJ John Blair will be providing the music and Brian Moore is our Compere.

The organisers wish to give special thanks to the Lodge Hotel for their tremendous assistance with facilities for planning meetings, a special walkway for the models and the use of their large function room. Given that the event looks as if it’s going to sell out it’s lucky it’s as big as it is!

Dirty Dusting

Starring May McFettridgeMay McFetridge

“the humour is quiteirresistible” BBC Liverpool

Three elderly cleaning ladies start up a telephone sex line.

When three cleaners, Olive, Gladys and Elsie, are threatened with redundancy they feel that their lives are coming to an end until a chance wrong number gives them a new business start-up idea – why not run a telephone sex line? They’ve got motive, opportunity and a lifetime of experience – some more than others, mind you.

Provided Elsie can teach the other two a few new tricks there’s no reason why they can’t get rich quick providing they can keep their operation a secret from their bosses… and their husbands…and their children…and their grand children.

A searing indictment of ageism in the 21stCentury heavily disguised as a hysterical, laugh-out-loud, heart-warming comedy.
