Luther

Wed 1 Nov, 8PM

In October, exactly 500 years ago, Martin Luther, an obscure Augustinian monk, nailed a document to a church doorin Wittenberg, Germany and changed the world forever.

This remarkable anniversary is commemorated with a production of ‘LUTHER’ by John Osborne, an award winning play presented by Centre Stage Theatre Company. Osborne is one of the most significant and influential playwrights of 20th century theatre, best known for his ground-breaking ‘Look Back in Anger’.

‘Luther’ gives a powerful portrait of the monk as he agonizes with his doubts and disillusions and subsequently the consequences of his world-shattering cry for Church reform.

Dirty Dusting

Starring May McFettridgeMay McFetridge

“the humour is quiteirresistible” BBC Liverpool

Three elderly cleaning ladies start up a telephone sex line.

When three cleaners, Olive, Gladys and Elsie, are threatened with redundancy they feel that their lives are coming to an end until a chance wrong number gives them a new business start-up idea – why not run a telephone sex line? They’ve got motive, opportunity and a lifetime of experience – some more than others, mind you.

Provided Elsie can teach the other two a few new tricks there’s no reason why they can’t get rich quick providing they can keep their operation a secret from their bosses… and their husbands…and their children…and their grand children.

A searing indictment of ageism in the 21stCentury heavily disguised as a hysterical, laugh-out-loud, heart-warming comedy.
